How and why do NPR's news researchers use Agile concepts to guide their efforts during the chaos of breaking news coverage? After every major breaking news event, NPR's Research, Archives & Data Strategy team (RAD) discusses and documents what went well in our work, what could have been different and what we need to prepare to be ready for future events. Through our retrospectives, we continue to iterate and improve our information gathering responses, all the while keeping in mind the needs and behaviors of our newsroom colleagues and the demands upon all of us to uphold NPR's journalism ethics and excellence.
